Summer is coming! This week marks my last full week of work until August. I am anxious to tackle projects that have been waiting their turn in the back of my mind since we moved in back in December. Keeping track of the kiddos, working full-time, and completing everyday chores can be overwhelming, so I am thrilled to have at least one thing off of my plate for a couple of months while school is out.
The beautiful weather is a welcomed motivator as well- time for garden, patio, and fire pit decor! My latest Target find is this simple, cheerful floral wreath- the front door has never looked happier!

Besides adding color to the mundane brown, the yellow brings out the detail already present. Needless to say, I am loving it!
Speaking of floral…I finally started my garden on Mother’s Day weekend. Although I am starting small, I am thrilled at the progress it’s making already!

The flowers add a homey touch to the front of the house. The tomato plant is in the backyard, and the sight of the little green Roma tomatoes sprouting brings me so much joy!! I will have to video myself when they actually turn red, lol. Here are a few shots of the tomato plant, as well as the front of the house with the planters.

This week I plan on adding cucumbers and cantaloupe to the backyard. I’m an amateur gardener–so I figure if it doesn’t grow, at least I tried!
We don’t have many travel plans for the summer, so it’s the perfect time for us to complete a few household projects, with rest hopefully somewhere in between. What are your summer plans? Are you on the go or relaxing at home?
HAPPY SUMMERTIME!
